For slackware you just login as root and to installpkg /wherever/slakware/a5/floppy.tgz Multi-boot? My DOS system can't see ~1.7GB on first hard disk. My 1st thought is to have a dual boot with Linux using the ~1,7GB so it is not just unused. In this case, I would like to be able to access DOS files from Linux.

Hi - I've read several MS Multi-Boot articles and searched some postings. I have read a lot about setting up multiple partitions on the SAME hard drive for multiple OS's but what about having two different physical hard drives - one running Windows XP (Master), the other Windows 98 SE (Save).

I had a multiboot system with w2000, dos, and linux (RH 6.2). I then installed RH 7.1 and believe I missed specifying I did not want 7.1 on the MBR. I thought for sure I crunched the multiboot. Nope, but it's different. Instead of getting three choices after I boot up, I get a RH screen with 2 choices,

While trying to set up my computer with a multi-boot i ran in to a few problems and had a few re-installations to get it to work. Multi-boot for XP Pro and Win Server 2003?
Colin, I understand what you are saying but you don't have to enter the bios for dual boot with new motherboards. A bios boot menu is the same as a multiboot menu with a microsoft O/S. You press one key and you have a boot menu. If you change operating systems often your choice is good but I would use BootPro to

Over the years, I've kept my multi-boot configurations in a fairly short leash and they've come and gone with regularity. When I set up the present 64bit system, I wanted a RAID and I wanted to keep it reasonably clean with just the XP x64 and one Linux (to keep abreast with RAID support on Linux).
